Welcome to Swanland Parish Council

Swanland Parish Council serves approximately 4000 inhabitants of the village of Swanland in East Yorkshire.

This website aims to allow the Council to communicate more effectively with residents and to provide ways to allow them to contact both the Parish Council and the East Riding of Yorkshire County Council. It will be kept fully updated with items of local concern including access to current planning applications and how you can make your views known. Parish Council News items are posted on the Council News web page. See also the Swanland Village Website  which contains a vast amount of local information


The Parish Council works closely with many local organisations including the Swanland Village Association (SVA).

Road Closure

Replacement water main works will commence in the village on 17th January and should be complete by 28th February. The area affected is between 20 West End and the junction of Queensbury Way.
