There are now four vacancies on the Parish Council.
Bearing in mind that the Council only has nine councillors (when full) and that decisions can only be made when there are at least three councillors at the monthly meeting, it is coming dangerously close to being unable to function.
If that were to happen, then potentially funding of aspects of village life would not continue. These include the playing fields, the pond, the village hall, the SVA (litter picking), Father Christmas at the pond, litter and grit bins, and some street lighting.
If you would be interested in volunteering for this key (if unglamorous!) role in village life, please contact the Clerk (Michelle Hopton) or the chairman (Derek Shepherd) for more information."
