Welcome to Swanland Parish Council

Swanland Parish Council serves approximately 4000 inhabitants of the village of Swanland in East Yorkshire.

This website aims to allow the Council to communicate more effectively with residents and to provide ways to allow them to contact both the Parish Council and the East Riding of Yorkshire County Council. It will be kept fully updated with items of local concern including access to current planning applications and how you can make your views known. Parish Council News items are posted on the Council News web page. See also the Swanland Village Website  which contains a vast amount of local information


The Parish Council works closely with many local organisations including the Swanland Village Association (SVA).

Volunteers needed

Volunteers Needed Do you or someone you know have some spare time to help out? The playing fields are managed and maintained by the Swanland Playing Field Association (SPFA), comprising a small group of volunteers/members There are currently vacancies for key roles on the committee for a secretary and vice chairman, trustees are also sought As well as key committee positions, we are looking for people with marketing, social media, fund raising and grant application skills in particular, to join us on the committee Additional volunteers are sought to help out with the upkeep of the facilities by giving as much time as you are able to spare, builders/landscapers/painters/general handy persons If you are able to help out or need additional information, please contact the SPFA chairman, Alan Smith at swanlandpfa@gmail.com Read More...
