Road Closure

ROAD CLOSURE - FATHER CHRISTMAS ON THE POND, MONDAY 19th DECEMBER 2022
Under the directive of East Riding Council and in conjunction with the police we will be closing off the road in the vicinity of the pond and create diversions for traffic. This will only be for a short space of time from 6.30 p.m. until approximately 9.30 p.m. or until the families have gone home after the children have seen Father Christmas. There will be no parking in front of Christ Church from early afternoon on that date to allow the organ to be set up. Parking alongside the pond will also be restricted to allow safe access for parents and children alike.
The closure is for the safety of both children and parents during the event. This will mean that vehicle access from your road will be difficult. You will not be able to turn towards West End. Please note that residents of Mere Flats will not be able to turn right onto Main Street. During the evening there will be Parish Council members present should you need assistance. They will be wearing reflective jackets with Swanland Parish Council on the back. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
